سَلامٌ عَلى آلِ يس، اَلسَّلامُ عَلَيْكَ يا داعِيَ اللهِ وَرَبّانِیَّ آياتِهِ

Peace be upon the Household of Yasin. Peace be upon you, O caller to Allah and divine interpreter of His signs!

اَلسَّلامُ عَلَيْكَ يا بابَ اللهِ وَدَيّانَ دينِهِ، اَلسَّلامُ عَلَيْكَ يا خَليفَةَ اللهِ وَناصِرَ حَقِّهِ

Peace be upon you, O gate to Allah and judge of His religion! Peace be upon you, O vicegerent of Allah and supporter of His truth!

اَلسَّلامُ عَلَيْكَ يا حُجَّةَ اللهِ وَدَلیلَ اِرادَتِهِ

Peace be upon you, O proof of Allah and guide to His will!

اَلسَّلامُ عَلَيْكَ يا تالِیَ كِتابِ اللهِ وَتَرْجُمانَهُ، اَلسَّلامُ عَلَيْكَ في آناءِ لَيْلِكَ وَاَطْرافِ نَهارِكَ

Peace be upon you, O reciter of Allah's Book and its interpreter! Peace be upon you in the hours of your night and the ends of your day!

اَلسَّلامُ عَلَيْكَ يا بَقِيَّةَ اللهِ في اَرْضِهِ، اَلسَّلامُ عَلَيْكَ يا ميثاقَ اللهِ الَّذي اَخَذَهُ وَوَكَّدَهُ

Peace be upon you, O remnant of Allah on His earth! Peace be upon you, O covenant of Allah which He took and established!

اَلسَّلامُ عَلَيْكَ يا وَعْدَ اللهِ الَّذي ضَمِنَهُ

Peace be upon you, O promise of Allah which He guaranteed!

اَلسَّلامُ عَلَيْكَ اَيُّهَا الْعَلَمُ الْمَنْصوُبُ وَالْعِلْمُ الْمَصْبُوبُ وَالْغَوْثُ وَالرَّحْمَةُ الْواسِعَةُ وَعْداً غَيْرَ مَكْذوُبٍ

Peace be upon you, O hoisted banner, poured-out knowledge, refuge, and vast mercy—a promise that is not a lie!

اَلسَّلامُ عَلَيْكَ حينَ تَقوُمُ، اَلسَّلامُ عَلَيْكَ حينَ تَقْعُدُ

Peace be upon you when you stand, peace be upon you when you sit!

اَلسَّلامُ عَلَيْكَ حينَ تَقْرَءُ وَتُبَيِّنُ

Peace be upon you when you recite and explain!

اَلسَّلامُ عَلَيْكَ حينَ تُصَلّي وَتَقْنُتُ، اَلسَّلامُ عَلَيْكَ حينَ تَرْكَعُ وَتَسْجُدُ

Peace be upon you when you pray and supplicate! Peace be upon you when you bow and prostrate!

اَلسَّلامُ عَلَيْكَ حينَ تُهَلِّلُ وَتُكَبِّرُ، اَلسَّلامُ عَلَيْكَ حينَ تَحْمَدُ وَتَسْتَغْفِرُ

Peace be upon you when you declare Allah's oneness and greatness! Peace be upon you when you praise Him and seek His forgiveness!

اَلسَّلامُ عَلَيْكَ حينَ تُصْبِحُ وَتُمْسي، اَلسَّلامُ عَلَيْكَ فِي اللَّيْلِ اِذا يَغْشى وَالنَّهارِ اِذا تَجَلّى

Peace be upon you in the morning and evening! Peace be upon you in the night when it covers, and the day when it shines!

اَلسَّلامُ عَلَيْكَ اَيُّهَا الاِْمامُ الْمَاْموُنُ، اَلسَّلامُ عَلَيْكَ اَيُّهَا الْمُقَدَّمُ الْمَاْموُلُ، اَلسَّلامُ عَلَيْكَ بِجَوامِعِ السَّلامِ

Peace be upon you, O trusted Imam! Peace be upon you, O foremost hoped-for leader! Peace be upon you with all comprehensive greetings of peace!

اُشْهِدُكَ يا مَوْلايَ اَنّي اَشْهَدُ اَنْ لا اِلهَ اِلا اللهُ وَحْدَهُ لا شَريكَ لَهُ، وَاَنَّ مُحَمَّداً عَبْدُهُ وَرَسوُلُهُ لا حَبيبَ اِلاّ هُوَ وَاَهْلُهُ

I call you to witness, my master, that I bear witness there is no god but Allah, Alone without partner, and that Muhammad is His servant and Messenger, there is no beloved save him and his family.

15 / 49

وَ اُشْهِدُكَ يا مَوْلايَ اَنَّ عَلِیّاً اَمیرَالْمُؤْمِنینَ حُجَّتُهُ، وَالْحَسَنَ حُجَّتُهُ، وَالْحُسَیْنَ حُجَّتُهُ، وَعَلِیَّ بْنَ الْحُسَیْنِ حُجَّتُهُ

And I call you to witness, my master, that Ali, the Commander of the Faithful, is His proof; Al-Hasan is His proof; Al-Husayn is His proof; Ali son of Al-Husayn is His proof;

وَمُحَمَّدَ بْنَ عَلِیٍّ حُجَّتُهُ، وَجَعْفَرَ بْنَ مُحَمَّدٍ حُجَّتُهُ، وَموُسَى بْنَ جَعْفَرٍ حُجَّتُهُ

Muhammad son of Ali is His proof; Ja'far son of Muhammad is His proof; Musa son of Ja'far is His proof;

وَعَلِیَّ بْنَ موُسى حُجَّتُهُ، وَمُحَمَّدَ بْنَ عَلِیٍّ حُجَّتُهُ، وَعَلِیَّ بْنَ مُحَمَّدٍ حُجَّتُهُ، وَالْحَسَنَ بْنَ عَلِیٍّ حُجَّتُهُ

Ali son of Musa is His proof; Muhammad son of Ali is His proof; Ali son of Muhammad is His proof; Al-Hasan son of Ali is His proof;

وَاَشْهَدُ اَنَّكَ حُجَّةُ اللهِ، اَنْتُمُ الاَْوَّلُ وَالاْ خِرُ

And I bear witness that you are the proof of Allah. You are the first and the last!

19 / 49

وَاَنَّ رَجْعَتَكُمْ حَقٌّ لا رَيْبَ فيها يَوْمَ لا يَنْفَعُ نَفْساً ايمانُها لَمْ تَكُنْ آمَنَتْ مِنْ قَبْلُ اَوْ كَسَبَتْ في ايمانِها خَيْراً

And that your return (Raj'ah) is true without a doubt, on the day when no soul's faith will benefit it if it did not believe before, or earn any good through its faith.

20 / 49

وَاَنَّ الْمَوْتَ حَقٌّ، وَاَنَّ ناكِراً وَنَكيراً حَقٌّ

And that death is true, and Munkar and Nakir (the questioning angels) are true,

21 / 49

وَاَشْهَدُ اَنَّ النَّشْرَ حَقٌّ، وَالْبَعْثَ حَقٌّ، وَاَنَّ الصِّراطَ حَقٌّ، وَالْمِرْصادَ حَقٌّ

And I bear witness that resurrection is true, the revival is true, the Bridge (Sirat) is true, the watchtower is true,

وَالْميزانَ حَقٌّ، وَالْحَشْرَ حَقٌّ، وَالْحِسابَ حَقٌّ، وَالْجَنَّةَ وَالنّارَ حَقٌّ، وَالْوَعْدَ وَالْوَعيدَ بِهِما حَقٌّ

The Balance (Mizan) is true, the gathering is true, the accounting is true, Paradise and Hellfire are true, and the promise and threat regarding them are true.

يا مَوْلايَ شَقِيَ مَنْ خالَفَكُمْ، وَسَعِدَ مَنْ اَطاعَكُمْ

O my master, wretched is he who opposes you, and prosperous is he who obeys you!

24 / 49

فَاشْهَدْ عَلى ما اَشْهَدْتُكَ عَلَيْهِ، وَاَنَا وَلِيٌّ لَكَ بَريٌ مِنْ عَدُوِّكَ

So bear witness to what I have called you to witness, while I am a friend to you and disavow your enemy.

25 / 49

فَالْحَقُّ ما رَضيتُموُهُ، وَالْباطِلُ ما اَسْخَطْتُموُهُ، وَالْمَعْروُفُ ما اَمَرْتُمْ بِهِ، وَالْمُنْكَرُ ما نَهَيْتُمْ عَنْهُ

The truth is what you are pleased with, falsehood is what offends you, virtue is what you command, and evil is what you forbid.

26 / 49

فَنَفْسي مُؤْمِنَةٌ بِاللهِ وَحْدَهُ لا شَريكَ لَهُ، وَبِرَسوُلِهِ وَبِاَميرِ الْمُؤْمِنينَ، وَبِكُمْ يا مَوْلايَ اَوَّلِكُمْ وَآخِرِكُمْ

My soul believes in Allah alone without partner, in His Messenger, in the Commander of the Faithful, and in you, my master—the first of you and the last of you.

27 / 49

وَنُصْرَتی مُعَدَّةٌ لَكُمْ، وَمَوَدَّتي خالِصَةٌ لَكُمْ، آمينَ آمينَ

My support is prepared for you, and my affection is purely for you. Amen, Amen.

وَبَعْدَ ذَلِكَ تُقْرَأُ هَذِهِ الدُّعَاءُ:

After that, this supplication is recited:

اَللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ أَنْ تُصَلِّيَ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ نَبِيِّ رَحْمَتِكَ وَكَلِمَةِ نُورِكَ

O Allah, I ask You to send blessings upon Muhammad, the Prophet of Your mercy and the Word of Your light,

وَأَنْ تَمْلَأَ قَلْبِي نُورَ الْيَقِينِ وَصَدْرِي نُورَ الْإِيمَانِ وَفِكْرِي نُورَ النِّيَّاتِ وَعَزْمِي نُورَ الْعِلْمِ

And to fill my heart with the light of certainty, my chest with the light of faith, my thought with the light of good intentions, my resolve with the light of knowledge,

وَقُوَّتِي نُورَ الْعَمَلِ وَلِسَانِي نُورَ الصِّدْقِ وَدِينِي نُورَ الْبَصَائِرِ مِنْ عِنْدِكَ

My strength with the light of action, my tongue with the light of truthfulness, my religion with the light of insights from You,

وَبَصَرِي نُورَ الضِّيَاءِ وَسَمْعِي نُورَ الْحِكْمَةِ وَمَوَدَّتِي نُورَ الْمُوَالاَةِ لِمُحَمَّدٍ وَآلِهِ عَلَيْهِمُ السَّلاَمُ

My vision with the light of brightness, my hearing with the light of wisdom, and my devotion with the light of allegiance to Muhammad and his family, peace be upon them,

حَتَّى أَلْقَاكَ وَقَدْ وَفَيْتُ بِعَهْدِكَ وَمِيثَاقِكَ فَتُغَشِّيَنِي رَحْمَتَكَ يَا وَلِيُّ يَا حَمِيدُ

Until I meet You having fulfilled Your covenant and pledge, so that Your mercy may cover me, O Guardian, O Praiseworthy!

اللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ حُجَّتِكَ فِي أَرْضِكَ وَخَلِيفَتِكَ فِي بِلاَدِكَ وَالدَّاعِي إِلَى سَبِيلِكَ

O Allah, send blessings upon Muhammad, Your proof on Your earth, Your vicegerent in Your lands, the caller to Your path,

وَالْقَائِمِ بِقِسْطِكَ وَالثَّائِرِ بِأَمْرِكَ وَلِيِّ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ وَبَوَارِ الْكَافِرِينَ وَمُجَلِّي الظُّلْمَةِ

The upholder of Your justice, the riser by Your command, the guardian of the believers, the ruin of the disbelievers, the dispeller of darkness,

وَمُنِيرِ الْحَقِّ وَالنَّاطِقِ بِالْحِكْمَةِ وَالصِّدْقِ وَكَلِمَتِكَ التَّامَّةِ فِي أَرْضِكَ الْمُرْتَقِبِ الْخَائِفِ وَالْوَلِيِّ النَّاصِحِ

The illuminator of truth, the speaker with wisdom and honesty, Your perfect word on Your earth, the watchful, the sincere guardian,

سَفِينَةِ النَّجَاةِ وَعَلَمِ الْهُدَى وَنُورِ أَبْصَارِ الْوَرَى وَخَيْرِ مَنْ تَقَمَّصَ وَارْتَدَى

The ark of salvation, the banner of guidance, the light of the vision of all creatures, and the best of those who ever put on clothing,

38 / 49

وَمُجَلِّي الْعَمَى الَّذِي يَمْلَأُ الْأَرْضَ عَدْلاً وَقِسْطاً كَمَا مُلِئَتْ ظُلْماً وَجَوْراً إِنَّكَ عَلَى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌ

The dispeller of blindness, who will fill the earth with justice and equity as it was filled with oppression and tyranny. Indeed, You have power over all things.

39 / 49

اللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَى وَلِيِّكَ وَابْنِ أَوْلِيَائِكَ الَّذِينَ فَرَضْتَ طَاعَتَهُمْ وَأَوْجَبْتَ حَقَّهُمْ وَأَذْهَبْتَ عَنْهُمُ الرِّجْسَ وَطَهَّرْتَهُمْ تَطْهِيراً

O Allah, send blessings upon Your Representative and the son of Your Representatives, whose obedience You have mandated, whose right You have made obligatory, and from whom You have removed all uncleanness and purified completely.

40 / 49

اللَّهُمَّ انْصُرْهُ وَانْتَصِرْ بِهِ لِدِينِكَ وَانْصُرْ بِهِ أَوْلِيَاءَكَ وَأَوْلِيَاءَهُ وَشِيعَتَهُ وَأَنْصَارَهُ وَاجْعَلْنَا مِنْهُمْ

O Allah, grant him victory and grant victory to Your religion through him; grant victory through him to Your allies, his allies, his followers, and his supporters, and make us among them.

41 / 49

اللَّهُمَّ أَعِذْهُ مِنْ شَرِّ كُلِّ بَاغٍ وَطَاغٍ وَمِنْ شَرِّ جَمِيعِ خَلْقِكَ

O Allah, protect him from the evil of every transgressor and tyrant, and from the evil of all Your creation.

42 / 49

وَاحْفَظْهُ مِنْ بَيْنِ يَدَيْهِ وَمِنْ خَلْفِهِ وَعَنْ يَمِينِهِ وَعَنْ شِمَالِهِ وَاحْرُسْهُ وَامْنَعْهُ مِنْ أَنْ يُوصَلَ إِلَيْهِ بِسُوءٍ

Preserve him from before him, from behind him, from his right, and from his left; guard him and prevent any harm from reaching him.

43 / 49

وَاحْفَظْ فِيهِ رَسُولَكَ وَآلَ رَسُولِكَ وَأَظْهِرْ بِهِ الْعَدْلَ وَأَيِّدْهُ بِالنَّصْرِ

Preserve through him Your Messenger and the Family of Your Messenger, manifest justice through him, and reinforce him with victory.

44 / 49

وَانْصُرْ نَاصِرِيهِ وَاخْذُلْ خَاذِلِيهِ وَاقْصِمْ قَاصِمِيهِ وَاقْصِمْ بِهِ جَبَابِرَةَ الْكُفْرِ

Help those who help him, forsake those who forsake him, break those who oppose him, and break through him the tyrants of disbelief.

45 / 49

وَاقْتُلْ بِهِ الْكُفَّارَ وَالْمُنَافِقِينَ وَجَمِيعَ الْمُلْحِدِينَ حَيْثُ كَانُوا مِنْ مَشَارِقِ الْأَرْضِ وَمَغَارِبِهَا بَرِّهَا وَبَحْرِهَا

Destroy through him the disbelievers, the hypocrites, and all atheists wherever they are, in the easts of the earth and its wests, on its land and in its sea.

46 / 49

وَامْلَأْ بِهِ الْأَرْضَ عَدْلاً وَأَظْهِرْ بِهِ دِينَ نَبِيِّكَ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ

Fill the earth with justice through him, and manifest through him the religion of Your Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him and his family.

47 / 49

وَاجْعَلْنِي اللَّهُمَّ مِنْ أَنْصَارِهِ وَأَعْوَانِهِ وَأَتْبَاعِهِ وَشِيعَتِهِ

And make me, O Allah, among his supporters, helpers, followers, and party.

48 / 49

وَأَرِنِي فِي آلِ مُحَمَّدٍ عَلَيْهِمُ السَّلاَمُ مَا يَأْمُلُونَ وَفِي عَدُوِّهِمْ مَا يَحْذَرُونَ

And show me regarding the Family of Muhammad, peace be upon them, what they hope for, and regarding their enemy what they guard against.

49 / 49

إِلَهَ الْحَقِّ آمِينَ يَا ذَا الْجَلاَلِ وَالْإِكْرَامِ يَا أَرْحَمَ الرَّاحِمِينَ

God of truth, Amen! O Lord of Majesty and Honor, O Most Merciful of the merciful!
