اَلسَّلامُ عَلَيْكَ يا اَباعَبْدِاللَّهِ اَلسَّلامُ عَلَيْكَ يَابْنَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ اَلسَّلامُ عَلَيْكَ يا خِيَرَةَ اللَّهِ وَ ابْنَ خِيَرَتِهِ اَلسَّلامُ عَلَيْكَ يَابْنَ اَميرِالْمُؤْمِنينَ وَ ابْنَ سَيِّدِ الْوَصِيّينَ
Peace be upon you, O Aba Abdillah! Peace be upon you, O son of the Messenger of Allah! Peace be upon you, O chosen one of Allah and son of His chosen one! Peace be upon you, O son of the Commander of the Faithful and son of the chief of the successors!

اَلسَّلامُ عَلَيْكَ يَابْنَ فاطِمَةَ سَيِّدَةِ نِساَّءِ الْعالَمينَ اَلسَّلامُ عَلَيْكَ يا ثارَ اللَّهِ وَ ابْنَ ثارِهِ وَ الْوِتْرَ الْمَوْتُورَ
Peace be upon you, O son of Fatimah, the lady of the women of the worlds! Peace be upon you, O blood of Allah and the son of His blood, and the unavenged one!

اَلسَّلامُ عَلَيْكَ وَعَلَى الاَْرْواحِ الَّتى حَلَّتْ بِفِناَّئِكَ عَلَيْكُمْ مِنّى جَميعاً سَلامُ اللَّهِ اَبَداً ما بَقيتُ وَ بَقِىَ اللَّيْلُ وَالنَّهارُ
Peace be upon you and upon the souls that lodged in your courtyard. Upon you all from me be the peace of Allah forever, as long as I remain and as long as the night and the day remain.

یا اَباعَبْدِاللَّهِ لَقَدْ عَظُمَتِ الرَّزِيَّةُ وَ جَلَّتْ وَ عَظُمَتِ الْمُصيبَةُ بِكَ عَلَيْنا وَ عَلى جَميعِ اَهْلِ الاِْسْلامِ
O Aba Abdillah! Great is the sorrow and grave and monumental is the tragedy of your loss for us and for all the people of Islam!

وَ جَلَّتْ وَ عَظُمَتْ مُصيبَتُكَ فِى السَّمواتِ عَلى جَميعِ اَهْلِ السَّمواتِ فَلَعَنَ اللَّهُ اُمَّةً اَسَّسَتْ اَساسَ الظُّلْمِ وَ الْجَوْرِ عَلَيْكُمْ اَهْلَ الْبَيْتِ
And grave and monumental is your tragedy in the heavens for all the inhabitants of the heavens. So may Allah curse the people who laid the foundation of oppression and injustice against you, the Ahl al-Bayt!

وَ لَعَنَ اللَّهُ اُمَّةً دَفَعَتْكُمْ عَنْ مَقامِكُمْ وَ اَزالَتْكُمْ عَنْ مَراتِبِكُمُ الَّتى رَتَّبَكُمُ اللَّهُ فيها
And may Allah curse the people who deprived you of your rank and removed you from the positions that Allah had placed you in.

وَ لَعَنَ اللَّهُ اُمَّةً قَتَلَتْكُمْ وَ لَعَنَ اللَّهُ الْمُمَهِّدينَ لَهُمْ بِالتَّمْكينِ مِنْ قِتالِكُمْ
And may Allah curse the people who killed you, and may Allah curse those who paved the way for them and enabled them to fight against you.

بَرِئْتُ اِلَى اللَّهِ وَ اِلَيْكُمْ مِنْهُمْ وَ مِنْ اَشْياعِهِمْ وَ اَتْباعِهِمْ وَ اَوْلِياَّئِهِم
I turn to Allah and to you, disassociating myself from them, from their followers, their adherents, and their friends.

یا اَباعَبْدِاللَّهِ اِنّى سِلْمٌ لِمَنْ سالَمَكُمْ وَ حَرْبٌ لِمَنْ حارَبَكُمْ اِلى يَوْمِ الْقِيامَةِ
O Aba Abdillah! Indeed I am at peace with those who are at peace with you, and I am at war with those who are at war with you, until the Day of Resurrection.

وَ لَعَنَ اللَّهُ آلَ زِيادٍ وَ آلَ مَرْوانَ وَ لَعَنَ اللَّهُ بَنى اُمَيَّةَ قاطِبَةً وَ لَعَنَ اللَّهُ ابْنَ مَرْجانَةَ
And may Allah curse the family of Ziyad and the family of Marwan, and may Allah curse the Umayyads entirely, and may Allah curse the son of Marjanah.

وَ لَعَنَ اللَّهُ عُمَرَ بْنَ سَعْدٍ وَ لَعَنَ اللَّهُ شِمْراً وَ لَعَنَ اللَّهُ اُمَّةً اَسْرَجَتْ وَ اَلْجَمَتْ وَ تَنَقَّبَتْ لِقِتالِكَ
And may Allah curse Umar ibn Sa'd, and may Allah curse Shimr, and may Allah curse the people who saddled, bridled, and veiled themselves to fight against you.

بِاَبى اَنْتَ وَ اُمّى لَقَدْ عَظُمَ مُصابى بِكَ فَاَسْئَلُ اللَّهَ الَّذى اَکْرَمَ مَقامَكَ
May my father and mother be sacrificed for you! Monumental is my affliction because of you. So I ask Allah, who has honored your status,

وَ اَکْرَمَنى بِكَ اَنْ يَرْزُقَنى طَلَبَ ثارِكَ مَعَ اِمامٍ مَنْصُورٍ مِنْ اَهْلِ بَيْتِ مُحَمَّدٍ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَ آلِهِ
and who has honored me through you, to grant me the opportunity to avenge your blood alongside a victorious leader from the family of Muhammad (may Allah's blessings be upon him and his family).

اَللّهُمَّ اجْعَلْنى عِنْدَكَ وَجيهاً بِالْحُسَيْنِ عَلَيْهِ السَّلامُ فِى الدُّنْيا وَ الاْخِرَةِ
O Allah, make me distinguished in Your sight through Al-Husayn, peace be upon him, in this world and the Hereafter!

یا اَباعَبْدِاللَّهِ اِنّى اَتَقَرَّبُ اِلى اللَّهِ وَ اِلى رَسُولِهِ وَ اِلى اميرِالْمُؤْمِنينَ وَ اِلى فاطِمَةَ وَ اِلَى الْحَسَنِ
O Aba Abdillah! Indeed I seek proximity to Allah, to His Messenger, to the Commander of the Faithful, to Fatimah, to Al-Hasan,

وَ اِلَيْكَ بِمُوالاتِكَ وَ بِالْبَراَّئَةِ (مِمَّنْ قاتَلَكَ وَ نَصَبَ لَكَ الْحَرْبَ وَ بِالْبَرائَةِ مِمَّنْ اَسَّسَ اَساسَ الظُّلْمِ وَ الْجَوْرِ عَلَيْكُمْ وَ اَبْرَءُ اِلَى اللّهِ وَ اِلى رَسُولِهِ) مِمَّنْ اَسَسَّ اَساسَ ذلِكَ وَ بَنى عَلَيْهِ بُنْيانَهُ وَ جَرى فى ظُلْمِهِ وَ جَوْرِهِ عَلَيْكُمْ وَ على اَشْياعِكُمْ
and to you through my devotion to you, and through disassociation from those who fought against you, waged war on you, and laid the foundation of oppression and injustice against you; and I disassociate myself before Allah and His Messenger from whoever laid those foundations, built upon them, and persisted in oppression and injustice against you and your followers.

بَرِئْتُ اِلَى اللَّهِ وَ اِلَيْكُمْ مِنْهُمْ وَ اَتَقَرَّبُ اِلَى اللَّهِ ثُمَّ اِلَيْكُمْ بِمُوالاتِكُمْ وَ مُوالاةِ وَلِيِّكُمْ
I disassociate myself before Allah and before you from them, and I seek proximity to Allah and then to you through love for you and love for your allies,

وَ بِالْبَرآئَةِ مِنْ اَعْداَّئِكُمْ وَ النّاصِبيْنَ لَكُمُ الْحَرْبَ وَ بِالْبَرآئَةِ مِنْ اَشْياعِهِمْ وَ اَتْباعِهِمْ
and through disassociation from your enemies, those who wage war against you, and through disassociation from their followers and adherents.
19 / 43
اِنّى سِلْمٌ لِمَنْ سالَمَكُمْ وَ حَرْبٌ لِمَنْ حارَبَكُمْ وَ وَلِىُّ لِمَنْ والاکُمْ وَ عَدُوُّ لِمَنْ عاداکُمْ
Indeed, I am at peace with those who are at peace with you, at war with those who are at war with you, a friend to those who love you, and an enemy to those who oppose you.

فَاَسْئَلُ اللَّهَ الَّذى اَکْرَمَنى بِمَعْرِفَتِكُمْ وَ مَعْرِفَةِ اَوْلِياَّئِكُمْ وَ رَزَقَنِى الْبَراَّئَةَ مِنْ اَعْداَّئِكُمْ
So I ask Allah, who has honored me with the knowledge of you and your allies, and granted me disassociation from your enemies,

اَنْ يَجْعَلَنى مَعَكُمْ فِى الدُّنْيا وَ الاْخِرَةِ وَ اَنْ يُثَبِّتَ لى عِنْدَكُمْ قَدَمَ صِدْقٍ فِى الدُّنْيا وَ الاْخِرَةِ
to place me alongside you in this world and the Hereafter, and to establish for me a firm stance of truthfulness with you in this world and the Hereafter.
22 / 43
وَ اَسْئَلُهُ اَنْ يُبَلِّغَنِى الْمَقامَ الْمَحْمُودَ لَكُمْ عِنْدَ اللَّهِ وَ اَنْ يَرْزُقَنى طَلَبَ ثارى مَعَ اِمامٍ هُدىً ظاهِرٍ ناطِقٍ (بِالْحَقِّ) مِنْكُمْ
And I ask Him to enable me to reach the praised station reserved for you with Allah, and to grant me the opportunity to seek vengeance for you alongside a manifest, speaking guide from among you who speaks the truth.
23 / 43
وَ اَسْئَلُ اللَّهَ بِحَقِّكُمْ وَ بِالشَّاْنِ الَّذى لَكُمْ عِنْدَهُ اَنْ يُعْطِيَنى بِمُصابى بِكُمْ اَفْضَلَ ما يُعْطى مُصاباً بِمُصيبَتِهِ مُصيبَةً ما اَعْظَمَها
And I ask Allah, by your right and by the status you hold with Him, to grant me on account of my grief for you the finest reward given to anyone suffering a tragedy—and what a great tragedy it is!
24 / 43
وَ اَعْظَمَ رَزِيَّتَها فِى الاِْسْلامِ وَ فى جَميعِ السَّمواتِ وَ الاَْرْضِ اَللّهُمَّ اجْعَلْنى فى مَقامى هذا مِمَّنْ تَنالُهُ مِنْكَ صَلَواتٌ وَ رَحْمَةٌ وَ مَغْفِرَةٌ
And how immense is its sorrow in Islam and in all the heavens and the earth! O Allah, make me in this position of mine among those who receive blessings, mercy, and forgiveness from You.

اَللّهُمَّ اجْعَلْ مَحْياىَ مَحْيا مُحَمَّدٍ وَ آلِ مُحَمَّدٍ وَ مَماتى مَماتَ مُحَمَّدٍ وَ آلِ مُحَمَّدٍ
O Allah, make my life like the life of Muhammad and the family of Muhammad, and my death like the death of Muhammad and the family of Muhammad.

اَللّهُمَّ اِنَّ هذا يَوْمٌ تَبرَّکَتْ بِهِ بَنُو اُمَيَّةَ وَ ابْنُ آکِلَةِ الَْآکبادِ اللَّعينُ ابْنُ اللَّعينِ عَلى لِسانِكَ وَ لِسانِ نَبِيِّكَ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَ آلِهِ
O Allah, indeed this is a day in which the Banu Umayyah found blessing, as did the son of the eater of livers, the accursed son of the accursed, through Your tongue and the tongue of Your Prophet (may Allah's blessings be upon him and his family),

فى کُلِّ مَوْطِنٍ وَ مَوْقِفٍ وَقَفَ فيهِ نَبِيُّكَ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَ آلِهِ
in every place and location where Your Prophet (may Allah's blessings be upon him and his family) stood.
28 / 43
اَللّهُمَّ الْعَنْ اَباسُفْيانَ وَ مُعاوِيَةَ وَ يَزيدَ بْنَ مُعاوِيَةَ عَلَيْهِمْ مِنْكَ اللَّعْنَةُ اَبَدَ الاْبِدينَ
O Allah, curse Abu Sufyan, Mu'awiyah, and Yazid ibn Mu'awiyah! May Your curse be upon them forever and ever!
29 / 43
وَ هذا يَوْمٌ فَرِحَتْ بِهِ آلُ زِيادٍ وَ آلُ مَرْوانَ بِقَتْلِهِمُ الْحُسَيْنَ صَلَواتُ اللَّهِ عَلَيْهِ
And this is a day in which the family of Ziyad and the family of Marwan rejoiced over their killing of Al-Husayn, blessings of Allah be upon him.

اَللّهُمَّ فَضاعِفْ عَلَيْهِمُ اللَّعْنَ مِنْكَ وَ الْعَذابَ (الاَْليمَ) اَللّهُمَّ اِنّى اَتَقَرَّبُ اِلَيْكَ فى هذَا الْيَوْمِ وَ فى مَوْقِفى هذا
O Allah, double Your curse and painful torment upon them! O Allah, I seek proximity to You on this day, in this position of mine,

وَ اَيّامِ حَياتى بِالْبَراَّئَةِ مِنْهُمْ وَ اللَّعْنَةِ عَلَيْهِمْ وَ بِالْمُوالاتِ لِنَبِيِّكَ وَ آلِ نَبِيِّكَ عَلَيْهِ وَ عَلَيْهِمُ اَلسَّلامُ
and during all the days of my life, through disassociation from them, cursing them, and devotion to Your Prophet and the family of Your Prophet, peace be upon him and upon them.

ثُمَّ تَقُولُ مِائَةَ مَرَّةٍ:
Then you say one hundred times:

اَللّهُمَّ الْعَنْ اَوَّلَ ظالِمٍ ظَلَمَ حَقَّ مُحَمَّدٍ وَ آلِ مُحَمَّدٍ وَ آخِرَ تابِعٍ لَهُ عَلى ذلِكَ
O Allah, curse the first oppressor who usurped the right of Muhammad and the family of Muhammad, and the last follower who followed him in that!

اَللّهُمَّ الْعَنِ الْعِصابَةَ الَّتى جاهَدَتِ الْحُسَيْنَ وَ شايَعَتْ وَ بايَعَتْ وَ تابَعَتْ عَلى قَتْلِهِ اَللّهُمَّ الْعَنْهُمْ جَميعاً
O Allah, curse the group that fought against Al-Husayn and accompanied, pledged allegiance to, and followed one another in killing him. O Allah, curse them all!

ثُمَّ تَقُولُ مِائَةَ مَرَّةٍ:
Then you say one hundred times:

اَلسَّلامُ عَلَيْكَ يا اَباعَبْدِاللَّهِ وَ عَلَى الاَْرْواحِ الَّتى حَلَّتْ بِفِناَّئِكَ عَلَيْكَ مِنّى سَلامُ اللَّهِ (اَبَداً) ما بَقيتُ وَ بَقِىَ اللَّيْلُ وَ النَّهارُ وَ لاجَعَلَهُ اللَّهُ آخِرَ الْعَهْدِ مِنّى لِزِيارَتِكُمْ
Peace be upon you, O Aba Abdillah, and upon the souls that lodged in your courtyard. Upon you from me be the peace of Allah forever, as long as I remain and as long as the night and day remain, and may Allah not make this the last time I visit you.

اَلسَّلامُ عَلَى الْحُسَيْنِ وَ عَلى عَلِىِّ بْنِ الْحُسَيْنِ وَ عَلى اَوْلادِ الْحُسَيْنِ وَ عَلى اَصْحابِ الْحُسَيْنِ
Peace be upon Al-Husayn, upon Ali ibn Al-Husayn, upon the children of Al-Husayn, and upon the companions of Al-Husayn.

ثُمَّ تَقُولُ:
Then you say:

اَللّهُمَّ خُصَّ اَنْتَ اَوَّلَ ظالِمٍ بِاللَّعْنِ مِنّى وَ ابْدَاءْ بِهِ اَوَّلاً ثُمَّ الثّانِىَ وَ الثّالِثَ وَ الرّابِعَ
O Allah, single out the first oppressor with my curse, and begin with him first, then the second, the third, and the fourth.

اَللّهُمَّ الْعَنْ يَزيدَ خامِساً وَ الْعَنْ عُبَيْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ زِيادٍ وَ ابْنَ مَرْجانَةَ وَ عُمَرَ بْنَ سَعْدٍ وَ شِمْراً وَ آلَ اَبى سُفْيانَ وَ آلَ زِيادٍ وَ آلَ مَرْوانَ اِلى يَوْمِ الْقِيامَةِ
O Allah, curse Yazid fifthly, and curse Ubaydullah ibn Ziyad, the son of Marjanah, Umar ibn Sa'd, Shimr, the family of Abu Sufyan, the family of Ziyad, and the family of Marwan until the Day of Resurrection.

ثُمَّ تَسْجُدُ وَتَقُولُ:
Then you prostrate and say:

اَللّهُمَّ لَكَ الْحَمْدُ حَمْدَ الشّاکِرينَ لَكَ عَلى مُصابِهِمْ اَلْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ عَلى عَظيمِ رَزِيَّتى
O Allah, to You belongs praise, the praise of those who thank You in the midst of their affliction. Praise be to Allah for the magnitude of my grief.

اَللّهُمَّ ارْزُقْنى شَفاعَةَ الْحُسَيْنِ يَوْمَ الْوُرُودِ وَ ثَبِّتْ لى قَدَمَ صِدْقٍ عِنْدَكَ مَعَ الْحُسَيْنِ وَ اَصْحابِ الْحُسَيْنِ الَّذينَ بَذَلُوا مُهَجَهُمْ دُونَ الْحُسَيْنِ عَلَيْهِ السَّلامُ
O Allah, grant me the intercession of Al-Husayn on the Day of Arrival, and establish for me a firm stance of truthfulness in Your presence with Al-Husayn and the companions of Al-Husayn, who sacrificed their lifeblood for Al-Husayn, peace be upon him.
